Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
WeekPlate is built to be private by design. The short version: the iOS app does not collect, see, sell, or share any of your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking in the app. This website uses Vercel Web Analytics — see below.
What data the app handles
WeekPlate stores the content you create — meals, notes, tags, photos, weekly plans, household members and their nicknames — locally on your device.
iCloud sync and sharing
If you are signed in to iCloud, your data is synced through Apple's CloudKit service using your personal, private iCloud database. If you share your household, the shared data is transferred between the household's members through iCloud. In both cases the data is stored in Apple's iCloud under your Apple Account and is not accessible to us as the developer. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Photos and camera
You can attach a photo to a meal from your photo library or camera. The camera is used only when you actively take a photo of a meal. Photos are stored with your meal data on your device and in your iCloud, and nowhere else.
Purchases
The optional "WeekPlate Supporter" subscription is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. Apple provides us only with anonymous, aggregated sales statistics.
Data the app collects
None. The app contains no analytics or tracking frameworks.
This website
This website is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. For details on how Vercel processes data, please see the Vercel Privacy Policy and the Vercel Web Analytics privacy documentation.
Deleting your data
- Deleting content in the app removes it from your device and, if iCloud sync is active, from your iCloud database.
- Deleting the app removes all local data. iCloud data can be removed in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
- Leaving or stopping a shared household removes the shared data from the other participants' access.
Children
The WeekPlate app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and note it in the app's release notes before the change takes effect.
